Stan was born just a bend or two upriver from New Orleans and spent his youth swimming in the river and camping on its banks. He started stealing records from his brother’s record collection and was immersed in the album rock of the early seventies. Early influences were The Beatles, the Stones, the Doors, Jethro Tull, and Yes. He started playing guitar and wound up in an awesome original band, The Rogues. At fifteen, he was playing in clubs around New Orleans where he soaked up the local sound and the atmosphere that IS New Orleans. “I loved playing in the summer,” he said. “You would go outside to cool off, and everything would be so.…sticky. It was great.” The new millennium ushered in a new original rock band that played the large venues in the city including Zephyrs stadium and the Superdome as well as a CD and television appearances. Eventually he left and started a smaller project with Glenn Grass, writing and recording New Orleans music with plans to put a band together. Then someone shook the snowglobe. So after several months he grabbed his axe, and got stickyfied, and the world was right once again!
